If you and your farm have been impacted by hurricanes in 2024, you may still be working on applying for disaster assistance. Fortunately, FEMA has extended the deadline for applying for assistance to February 7, 2025. Clint Thompson noted in Specialty Crop News back in December 2024 that the disaster relief appears to be coming more quickly than it did in previous weather-related disasters like Hurricane Michael.
