A strong Gulf low is expected to bring a lot of rain to parts of the Southeast this weekend and early next week as it moves across the region and up the East Coast. This QPF map shows the forecast amounts but the actual amounts that you receive will depend on the exact path and strength of the low and your results may vary. Some severe weather may occur out ahead of and to the right of the center of low pressure. By Sunday afternoon the rain will be moving out of Georgia and into the mid-Atlantic states. Alabama and NW Georgia may only get a light amount of rain. After the storm passes, cold air will move into the region and will generally get warmer as the week progresses.
