High pressure will dominate the week, leaving all of the Southeast high and dry for the next seven days. Temperatures should be quite moderate and no chance of frost is seen in the long-range forecasts until the first week of November, although any forecast over a week out should be taken with some caution. The tropics are somewhat active for this time of year with Hurricane Tammy in the Atlantic, but the storm is expected to north and should not affect anywhere in the Southeast except perhaps Puerto Rico. A small area of potential development far south in the western Caribbean has only a 20% chance of developing in the next week and is unlikely to affect us either.
