The latest Drought Monitor, released today, shows very minor changes to the drought status across the Southeast this week. There was a slight improvement in the north and a slight increase in drought in Florida as well as no changes in Puerto Rico. Rainfall should be quite light in the northern half of the region, so little change is expected there. There should be more rain in the southern part of the region and there could be some improvements to the Florida drought, but very hot temperatures may keep that from happening.
