While the front that is moving through the Southeast today will temporarily bring drier weather to the region, most of this week will return to rainy conditions by mid-week. The driest areas will be Virginia and North Carolina with the wetter areas in the southern part of the region. Cooler temperatures will accompany the rain, which may also cause farmers to question when to plant crops that require warm soil temperatures. Cooler than normal temperatures are expected to continue into week 2.
