The latest 7-day QPF map shows that most of the region will receive quite a bit of rain this week. The first round will come this weekend, with a respite in the middle of the week before the next round begins. Some areas will see several inches of rain. The exception is the Florida peninsula, which will largely miss the action with dry conditions in place for most of the week. Snow amounts look to be very light or non-existent except in some of the mountainous areas. This general pattern is expected to continue for most of the next few weeks.
