The United States is not the only part of the world that has been experiencing widespread drought conditions. Europe has also seen a lot of dry conditions and hot weather this year. In Spain, the projected yield of their olive groves is just half of what they harvested last year. The year started with very high temperatures that destroyed the blossoms on many trees, and then dry conditions kept the fruit from developing fully.
