Here is an interesting resource for farmers who want to learn more about resiliency. This is an online “flipbook” that allows you to read it by electronically flipping pages like a regular book. The book discusses resilient farming, including an overview of climate and weather, a description of different related risks that farmers have, and a list of resources farmers can use to be Weather Ready Farms. While it is geared towards the Midwest, most of the information would be very useful to farmers in the Southeast. The only topics we might want added would be hurricanes (which is covered under wind) and coastal concerns like flooding. You can check it out at Resilient Agriculture: Weather Ready Farms (flippingbook.com).
