This week is Hurricane Awareness Week, and one of the events is a webinar on May 5 from 9 to 10 am EST that is geared towards students from 3rd to 8th grade. If you home-school or have kids in that age group who are fascinated with weather, you might consider attending. The webinar will focus on the job of a meteorologist, the weather hazards that come with hurricanes, and how meteorologists get you the weather information you need before a storm. Participants will have the opportunity to ask forecasters questions.
