Got this update from the PRISM climate group in Oregon. Maybe it is something that you can use if you do climate studies:

We are pleased to announce the release of updated PRISM 1991-2020 gridded normals datasets for the conterminous United States. Elements include precipitation; minimum, maximum, and mean temperature; mean dew point; and minimum and maximum vapor pressure deficit.

Several solar radiation elements have been added for the first time, and include global shortwave radiation on a horizontal surface, global shortwave radiation on a sloped ground surface, clear sky global shortwave radiation, and effective cloud transmittance.

The new normals are available at 800m and 4km grid resolutions. They can be viewed and downloaded from https://prism.oregonstate.edu/normals and are also available via FTP and web services (https://prism.oregonstate.edu/downloads). Detailed dataset information is available in our updated datasets document (https://prism.oregonstate.edu/documents/PRISM_datasets.pdf).
