Earlier this week I posted a story about snow falling in Brazil for the first time in many years. Accompanying that snow was cold temperatures and frost, which caused a lot of damage in the coffee-growing regions of southern Brazil. The damage was made worse because the coffee plants had already been stressed by drought in the recent past, which made them more vulnerable to frost damage. Because of that, you can expect the price of your morning cup to go up since it will take them at least 2 years to recover.
