Two quick-moving storms will bring several inches of rain to northern parts of the Southeast this week, while southern areas are mostly dry. The first storm, which is bringing heavy snow to the Denver area this weekend, will push into the Southeast by Tuesday morning, bringing our first batch of rain. A trailing front across the area will keep rain in the forecast. A second storm that will also form in the lee of the Rocky Mountains will quickly follow, with additional rain falling on Wednesday. By Thursday morning the wet conditions should start to move out of the area from west to east, bringing colder and drier conditions to the region. Northern areas could see some frost on Friday and Saturday mornings if the forecast holds. Weeks 2-4 are forecast to return to warmer and drier than normal conditions.
