The Resilient Rural America Project is a free online training program to help rural communities to become better equipped to withstand extreme weather and changing climate. They are working to produce a series of training modules to help rural communities learn more about extreme weather and changes in climate and how they can become more resilient in dealing with them. Their first module is out and is called “Rural Resilience to Extreme Weather: Integrating Land Use Strategies in Comprehensive Plans” and you can access it through the project page at https://www.mfpp.org/rrap/. They are working on a second module now and are distributing a survey to help them identify the most important topics they should cover in their training. You can participate in the survey (30-40 minutes) at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VXCVTGV.
