Halfway through November, we can see that so far this month a lot of the region has been drier than normal. Temperatures have varied across the region quite a bit, with northwestern parts much colder than average while southern Florida continues to bask in above normal weather. The temperature pattern could persist for the rest of the month, but rainier conditions are expected to return in the next two weeks. With the end of the growing season past most of us, plants will be using much less water and so even fairly dry conditions should not increase the drought much if at all, and evaporation from lakes and streams will be much lower with cold temperatures.
