The latest 7-day QPF map shows that only light rain can be expected in most of the Southeast in the next week. After a dry weekend, rain chances improve slightly during the week. The wettest areas will be the interior of the Florida peninsula and the mountainous areas of Georgia and the Carolinas. The pattern does seem to be shifting and there does seem to be more chance of rain in week 2.
