The latest 7-day QPF map shows that most of the Southeast should receive 1-2 inches of rain this week, with the majority falling on Sunday before drier conditions return. The Florida peninsula will be largely bypassed by rain so conditions there should continue to be dry. After the front passes, we expect to see much colder air moving into the region, and freezing temperatures could reach south to cover a good part of the region north of Florida. This could cause problems for blueberry growers who are seeing their plants bloom now.
