The latest climate outlook for March 2019, released today, shows that while the predictions of temperature for March show only a slight tendency towards warmer than normal conditions in Florida and equal chances of below, near or above normal temperatures elsewhere, the chances of wetter than normal conditions are good for a lot of the region this year. A glance at the weather models indicates that a cold outbreak is expected for the March 5-7 time period which could bring frost as far south as the Georgia-Florida border, although they are flopping around from one run to the next so that is not yet certain. The longest-range forecasts indicate we may get at least one more cold outbreak after that, but it is so far out in time that confidence in the second outbreak is very low.
