This week’s 7 day QPF map shows that most of the Southeast will get less than normal rainfall for the next week. This is sure to be a relief for many producers in the area, who have been hit by repeated rounds of thunderstorms. The only exception might be central Georgia, which has only received about a half inch of rain in the last week. The wettest areas this week are likely to be the far northern counties in AL and GA plus the Appalachians. This weekend rain should be quite light with increasing chances by mid-week. Weeks 2-4 show an increased chance of wet conditions returning, but no indication at this point that it will be quite as heavy as last week.
