The Climate Prediction Center published its monthly outlook for June today. It shows that for northern parts of the Southeast there is a slight increase in the chance of cooler than normal temperatures, with south Florida the only area with an increased chance of above normal temperatures. Most of the Southeast has an increased chance of wetter than normal conditions. This forecast is weighted towards what is expected to happen in the first two weeks of the month–forecasts three to four weeks out are less certain. The monthly drought outlook shows that because of these expected conditions, drought conditions are expected to decrease or be removed over the next month.
