The Georgia Climate Project is putting together a list of questions that link climate and agriculture in Georgia.  Below is a call for help in determining which research topics relating agriculture and climate would be most useful to agricultural producers.  Please consider providing your thoughts on what topics to focus on.

What challenges and opportunities could a changing climate bring to agriculture in our state?

What questions need to be answered to help Georgia better understand and address climate-related challenges and opportunities?

The Georgia Climate Research Roadmap is an effort to identify and rank “Georgia’s Top 40” climate research questions. The Georgia Climate Research Roadmap is an initiative of the Georgia Climate Project, a consortium of universities and colleges working with partners to improve understanding of climate impacts and solutions in Georgia.

We want to determine which important questions, if answered, would most help policymakers, practitioners, and scientists to better understand and address climate-related challenges and opportunities in Georgia.

This process begins with you: we are asking experts from across the state to submit candidate questions pertinent to your field, sector, and/or geographic location.

This should only take 5-10 minutes of your time, depending on how many questions you want to submit.

What do we mean by “climate research”? For this exercise, “climate” and “research” are defined broadly. We encourage you to think broadly and creatively about what could be considered climate research. We are looking for questions that cover a range of climate-related topics and draw on expertise from natural, applied, and social sciences.
