The latest outlook for April 2017 was released yesterday by the Climate Prediction Center.  It shows an increased chance of above normal temperature will be continuing this month but that there are equal chances for near, above or below normal precipitation during the month.  This week’s QPF forecast shows a very wet start to the month, but the longer range forecasts indicate that dry conditions may return to the region for most of the rest of April.  They also indicate the potential for drought development along the Atlantic Coast as well as an expansion in the Florida peninsula.
