As I’ve been discussing recently, the next two nights are going to be critical for fruit farmers around the Southeast. Temperatures in the low to mid 20s could cause millions of dollars of damage to crops that are well ahead of normal in blooming this year due to the mild winter.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has a brief story about this at https://www.ajc.com/news/state–regional-govt–politics/winter-weather-threatens-georgia-blueberry-peach-crops/w79xMJMUidhKfLENyYCGZL/.  The story states that it is not known if the cold weather will impact other crops like Vidalia onions, which are a little more resistant to cold weather.  Both Wednesday and Thursday nights are predicted to have killing frosts across northern and central parts of Georgia.
