Today is a good day to remind folk that the Midwestern Regional Climate Center has a number of freeze map products available at their VIP site (Vegetation Impact Program). The site has national maps for a number of different parameters like median date of last spring frost (you choose 32 F or 28 F). Check it out at https://mrcc.isws.illinois.edu/VIP/index.html. After this morning, our next batch of colder than normal air is likely to come in early to mid-March. Will it get down to freezing then? In some areas I think it will, although the farther south you are, the less of a threat it will be.
