In response to the tremendous flooding from Hurricane Matthew and CoCoRaHS’ new Condition Monitoring project, the State Climate Office of North Carolina is offering a webinar on Monday October 17 at 9:30 am EDT for current and potential CoCoRaHS members interested in adding condition monitoring to their list of citizen science activities. You can read more about it at https://climate.ncsu.edu/climateblog?id=216&h=5666e5c1. The information that is generated by the Condition Monitoring will be of tremendous use for the Drought Monitor, emergency managers, NWS employees and many others who use real-time climate monitoring in their decision-making processes.
