If you’ve ever been asked about how often a certain weather type occurs on a holiday like Christmas, you will love this new feature in the cli-MATE database from the Midwestern Regional Climate center.  They now allow you to choose from one of 19 different holidays, including those pesky ones that change date from one year to the next like Thanksgiving or Easter.  You can visit https://mrcc.isws.illinois.edu/CLIMATE/, sign up for a free account if you have not done so already, and then choose your station and look at Station/Daily data from the left menu to get to This Day in History and pick your holiday.  The database includes the entire US, not just the Midwest, so everyone can use it.
