The preliminary damage reports of Hermine’s passage through the Southeast show that the majority of the damage was due to power outages and downed trees, with a few reports of isolated tornadoes. Online Athens reported that over 107,000 homes in Georgia and an estimated 325,000 people in Florida lost power during the storm’s passage but that damage generally was less than expected.
