So far 2016 is shaping up to be a bad year for wildfires across the US, especially in the West.  This brings special problems for people who maintain livestock outside where they may be affected by the blazes.  Growing Georgia posted a story this week about some of the challenges that ranchers face in helping to keep their livestock safe from fires, especially in areas where access is restricted by firefighters.

The article contains information on legal restrictions in different states, plans you should put in place before a fire hits, and problems that can occur after a fire comes through your area, like feeding, health issues like burns and smoke inhalation, and finding lost cattle.  You can read it here.
