Love it or hate it, the Al Gore movie “An Inconvenient Truth” brought a lot of awareness about changes in climate over time (both natural and caused by humans) to the public arena.  It came out ten years ago, making a large number of prognostications about what the future climate would look like.

Science News has done a great review of the claims made in the movie and how accurate they have turned out to be so far.  You can read their article at https://www.sciencenews.org/article/changing-climate-10-years-after-inconvenient-truth or a summary article at National Public Radio here.  Of course, some of the predictions in the movie were for times far in the future, so we will have to wait to see how those pan out, but in general the scorecard shows there was more right than wrong in the movie.
