If you’ve been following the weather, you know that a cold front passed through our region in the last few days.  It has brought sunnier weather to the area, which is fantastic, but will also be bringing colder weather for the next few days.  The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has posted Frost Warnings for Saturday and Sunday mornings for northern portions of Georgia.  The wind will be higher on Saturday morning, so the chances of frost are lower; on Sunday the frost will be more widespread.  Make sure you protect tender plants and pets if they are outdoors.  Daytime temperatures will also be cooler.

The Georgia State Climate Office posted this map of the average frost dates for Georgia on their Facebook page.  You can see from this that the frost is occurring right around the average date for the first frost of the year.
