Slate magazine’s website had an ominous article today about the drought in California, which has gotten even worse in recent weeks after a wet start to the winter.  Last year California’s temperature was more than 2 degrees higher than the previous record due in part to the drought, and this month some parts of the state have received no rain at all.

If the drought continues to get worse, the story says, California may no longer be the leader in dairy according to Iowa Public Radio.  The article continues, “With the specter of climate change, these kinds of stories hint at what could be a broader decline in the country’s leading agricultural state in coming years.”  You can read their article by clicking here.
