The wind map tonight shows several features that will likely affect our weather in the next few days.  The remnants of Typhoon Nuri are still spinning in the Bering Sea and are contributing to the strong wave pattern in the atmosphere.  The strong flow of Arctic air into the central Plains can also be seen.  Some areas have seen temperatures drop as much as 40 degrees in less than a day.  This cold air will moderate in temperature but should reach the Southeast on Wednesday night or Thursday.  A small swirl off the east coast of Florida could bring some rain to coastal areas of the Atlantic, although it is not expected to become a tropical storm.

I grabbed this image from https://www.iweathernet.com/wind-pattern-animated, but it is available in other places as well.  This new web site contains a collection of current weather maps, radar loops and satellite pictures which you might find useful for planning outdoor activities.
