Here is the information for the 2026 Using Pesticides Wisely (UPW) Trainings.
- As mandated by federal law, all applicators must hold a private or commercial pesticide applicator license to purchase and apply the restricted-use herbicides Engenia, Stryax, and Tavium.
- Before applying these products in Georgia in 2026, applicators must complete the state-specific 2026 UPW classroom training at one of the locations listed below. Online training WILL NOT be available.
- There will be no makeups.
- Those who need pesticide credits but are not applying Engenia, Stryax, or Tavium are welcome to attend.
- Bring your pesticide license; 2 hours of pesticide credit will be provided for private or commercial.
- The meeting will last about 1.5 hours; NO beverages or meals will be provided.
- Attendees’ names will be posted on a list on the Georgia Department of Agriculture’s auxin website at https://agr.georgia.gov/dicamba.
You can attend any of the trainings, but please RSVP to the number at the hosting location. Tift County will host a training on March 23rd at 9:00 am at the Tifton Campus Conference Center (RDC).
