About

Seminole County is one of the largest row crop producing counties in Georgia. We are in the top 15 for corn, peanut and cotton production in Georgia. The county also produces soybeans, wheat and other small grains. Nestled between the Flint and Chattahoochee River , we are also home to the world famous Lake Seminole. Our soils range from clay to sandy and everything in between.

The goal of the Seminole County Extension service is to provide our farmers, ranchers and homeowners with the best science based practices. We offer services and information that help build and sustain healthy agriculture practices based off the latest research from the University of Georgia.

The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension offers its programs to people of all ages, regardless of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, martial or family status and is an equal opportunity employer.
