The Georgia Pecan Growers Association (GPGA) will be offering five pecan educational meetings throughout the state in January 2017. One of the meetings will be held in Appling County on January 10 at Sarah’s in the City and will begin at 6:00 pm.

The southern pecan leaf phylloxera is a tiny aphid-like insect that feeds on the foliage of pecan trees. The insects are rarely seen, but the galls that they cause are prominent.
