Poke Weed

Description: Herbaceous perennial plant that can grow up to 9 feet tall. Reproduces from seed. Berries are toxic.

Warning: Grows anywhere seeds are dropped by birds; fields, roadsides, fence rows; thrives in deep, rich, well drained soils.

Management: Manual removal recommended when practical. Spot spray with Glyphosate late summer. 2, 4-D can also be effective.
