Senior swine showman, Raegan Poulnott, competed for one final time on the state show stage in Perry. Last week wrapped up a pig showing career filled with tremendous success! Raegan, you have made your Oglethorpe 4-H family very proud!

Naomi McPeake was selected as the Champion 8th Grade breeding doe showman in Perry, GA at the state junior livestock show. She then went on to accomplish a goal she has had for many years… Naomi was named MASTER 4-H Breeding Doe Showman (champion for all grades)!

Not to be outdone by his sister, Cam McPeake reached a huge goal of his own this season. Cam exhibited the 4th Overall Champion Breeding Doe at the state livestock show!

Both Cam and Naomi won their showmanship divisions and competed for Master 4-H Showman.

Sophie Elder was awarded 5th Overall exhibitor in 5th grade goat showmanship. Quite impressive for only her second state performance.

Camden Huff intently works to set up her commercial dairy heifer for the judge during her state show weight class. Camden was awarded 4th Overall 7th grade dairy showman in Perry.

At our annual Oglethorpe Area Winter Livestock Show, Raegan Poulnott won both Grand Champion Market Barrow and Reserve Champion Market Gilt honors.

Naomi McPeake exhibited the Reserve Champion Breeding Doe at our local show February 15, 2025.

Although not officially recognized by Georgia 4-H on the state level, we have local youth club members that exhibit dairy goats. Abby Gabriel exhibited the Grand Champion Dairy Goat at the local show this season.

Camden Huff worked her way up into a hard fought 2nd place in showmanship at the UGA Dairy Heifer show earlier this month. Her heifer decided to be uncooperative on show day, but Camden kept her composure and was rewarded for her professionalism.

As part of an incredible senior season for Raegan Poulnott, she placed 6th in the nation during 12th grade showmanship at the National Junior Swine Association show in January.

Raegan won multiple showmanship classes this season. This one was at The Lake Hartwell Pig Classic and came with a shiny new buckle prize!

Camden Huff was selected as the Champion Cloverleaf Dairy Showman at this year’s local livestock show.

The Georgia Junior Livestock Foundation runs a showmanship points circuit each year. Camden Huff was awarded 5th Overall in the State from her showmanship wins in 2024.

Sophie Elder received a stocking “banner” at the Christmas Classic Breeding Doe Show for winning 4th Overall Novice Showman.
