This summer, Oglethorpe 4-H’ers experienced an unforgettable season filled with exciting activities and valuable learning opportunities. Our adventures began with trips to Camp Burton at Tybee Island and Camp Jekyll, where campers engaged in hands-on environmental education. From holding snakes to searching for sea critters, our 4-H’ers embraced the wonders of nature.

Back in Oglethorpe, the fun continued with our annual half-day of water excitement, featuring thrilling races down the water slide. The highlight for many was our delicious cupcake decorating competition, where creativity was limitless, and 4-H’ers voted on the best and worst decorated cupcakes.

The 4-H Farm Tour was an educational journey where we explored hydroponics, aquaponics, a flower nursery, and show goats. For those seeking adventure, our kayaking trip on the Broad River provided the perfect dose of excitement as we navigated the rapids.

Our livestock showmen, representing Dairy Heifers, goats, and horses, showcased their skills and dedication at events across the state. It was truly a summer to remember, filled with learning, adventure, and friendship.

Stay tuned as we look forward to more incredible experiences and activities throughout the school year!
