Operation Megaphone, an annual worldwide event designed to connect military teens from around the world to discuss key issues that affect military teens, promote communication across all military services, and provide opportunities for teens to give back to their communities. The idea for OMP came from a military teen panel serveral years ago and in the spirit of teen led, adult support, the theme and service project as well as many of the activity suggestions came from the Navy’s Dasia Bandy, 2019-2020 National Military Youth of the Year.

There are lots of opportunities for Extension 4-H to connect and support the event.  County staff, check with your local installations to see their plans and brainstorms ways in which you can provide additional support and engagement.  Most installations host the event at the end of April as part of their celebration of Month of the Military Child. Installation staff, please reach out to as needed and please share pictures, videos, and the like with us! We would love to highlight it on the blog with other states.
