As I write this post county staff, volunteers, state staff, youth, parents… are preparing for District Project Achievement (DPA). I have shared about what DPA is this past Fall and a few ideas on how to promote. However, in this post, I want to highlight a new resource for promotion.
When you think about youth and what they enjoy doing does YouTube come to mind? I know countless teens who subscribe to YouTube Channels, watch funny videos and stay updated on music through YouTube. So, with that in mind, Georgia 4-H has created promotional videos for staff to use when promoting DPA. We know youth respond to engaging videos. The link for the videos is below:

While it is to late to promote DPA for Middle and High School students it is not too late to promote for Cloverleaf (4-6th grade) students. check the Georgia 4-H Event Calendar for DPA/CPA dates or with your local office. Additionally, DPA is truly a year-round project that involves community service, hours learning in a given area, attending local and state programs, and other educational opportunities. So it is never to early to start working towards next years competition. Consider sharing this video in your next club meeting to highlight what 4-H’ers across the state are preparing for and to get the wheels turning for participating in 2021.
As always reach out to your local county staff with questions and ideas on how to collaborate or to learn more.
