Again in 2023, Georgia 4-H will offer fully funded overnight and day camps for military-connected youth. More information will be coming about these camping opportunities, updated flyers, website pages, FB tools, and the like.
We are able to host Georgia-based military camps due to the support of our local installation staff, families, and volunteers. As you begin to plan your summer season on-base we ask you to consider promoting the following camps occurring in your state:
Dobbins ARB Day-Camp June 13-15, 2023/ 5th -8th Grade/All-Service Branch
Joint Extreme Summit June 18-23, 2023 / 13-18 / All-Service Branch
Joint Extreme Summit June 25-30, 2023 / 13-18 / All-Service Branch
Operation Purple Camp July 17-21, 2023/ 8-13/ All-Service Brach with Deployed Status as the focus
If you would like to discuss how we can partner with you on recruiting attendees at the above camp or if you would like to have staff attend these camps alongside your children let me know. We rely on certified and trained 4-H volunteers to run camps. If you have not volunteered with us before we can run a background check and provide training for interested individuals at no charge.
