The facilitator guide for the 2023 National 4-H STEM Challenge Kit Power Protectors is now posted on the national website: https://4-h.org/programs/stem-challenge/.

One kit (that serves approximately 6 youth) costs $21.95 and includes the following materials: 1 Power Protectors Storage Bag, 1 Facilitator Guidebook, 1 deck of Watts Up Cards, 6 Superhero Hideout Blueprints, 1 Energy Island Adventure Board Game, 1 Amped Up Engineering Supply Pack, 6 Amped Up Engineering Design Sheets (2 solar, 2 wind, 2 hydro), 12 dry erase markers with attached erasers and 3 career posters. Additional supplies needed to implement the activities that are not included in the kit include recycled materials (water bottles, food boxes, etc…), tape, scissors, fan, and a flashlight. Connect with your service branch leadership about financial support for the national 4-H STEM Challenge Kits. The Navy has now included STEM Challenge in the Navy YOuth OM; however, applications have closed for support. If you missed the deadline to apply through Navy contact Jenny Jordan at jwjorda3@ncsu.edu for support. For other service branches who need support, I recommend reaching out directly to your leadership before purchasing.
