Sponsored by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, TERN, Georgia Ornithological Society and Georgia Audubon Society, Camp TALON (Teen Adventures Learning Ornithology & Nature) is a 6-day/5-night experience for youth ages 14–19.  Hosted at Epworth by the Sea on St. Simons Island, youth travel to barrier islands, state parks, wildlife management areas, and refuges along Georgia’s coast to learn all about birds.  More information about the camp (including a flyer) can be found on the Georgia DNR website.  Questions should be directed to the contacts listed on the website.

This program is not managed by 4-H or the University of Georgia. However, this opportunity is too good to not share! If you are working with young people who love the outdoors and enjoy learning new things about nature and in particular birds please share this unique opportunity. The programs will be high quality as DNR and other professionals will be leading the workshops during the camp.

Thanks for promoting this opportunity to interested youth!
