Military Installation Staff, 4-H families and staff,

We are excited to announce that the new Operation HomePort internship program is now accepting applications! Operation HomePort (OHP) is a partnership with the US Navy Child & Youth Programs that offers hands-on, experiential learning opportunities to work at Navy CYP facilities throughout the United States and selected international locations.  This program will help interns to experience professional growth and career networking while simultaneously gaining invaluable, real-world experience in the Department of Defense’s largest child-care network.

OHP interns assist in and lead the planning of developmentally appropriate activities, facilitate and participate in planned activities, and support positive, respectful relationships between children, youth, parents, and CYP professionals.  OHP assignments are approximately 120-days long at Navy CYP facilities throughout the United States and selected overseas locations.  Opportunities may exist for interns to extend their current assignment or to complete an additional assignment in a new, exciting location.  Please visit our website at https://operationhomeport.weebly.com/ for more information.
We are asking for your assistance in widely sharing the attached letter throughout your personal and professional networks. Operation HomePort is a good fit for a wide array of interested individuals: gap year students, active college students, graduates as well as those in career-changing or post-career status.

Please contact us with any Operation HomePort questions. We appreciate your assistance!

Sincerely,
Harriet C. Edwards, Ed.D. JC Johnson, Ed.D. Myra G. Moses, Ph.D.   ________________________
