A NEW training is available for staff to learn about the 4-H Essential Elements to programming and to gain a better understanding of Georgia 4-H programming across the state. The training will support the staff’s understanding of how to create a safe and engaging experience for children, so they may become self-directing contributing citizens in the future. Also, we understand that not all frontline staff and leadership have a background in 4-H, so we have also included information about the history and how to partner with 4-H today.

The training can be broken up into sections, completed individually or as a group, and as a live virtual session upon request (contact laurwalt@uga.edu). To access the self-paced training go to the Georgia 4-H Military Partnership Drive. In the drive, you will see a Staff Training Folder, which contains training on the 4-H Essential Elements. The Essential Elements folder includes the Google slide presentation. The training includes published videos from Georgia 4-H, embedded videos from the 4-H Military Liaison, audio clips, and worksheets.
