As educators, we are often in need of lesson plans and if the lessons are free that is an added bonus. The Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network has at least 9 free science lessons designed for 4-H youth.

These lessons could be used as a stand alone lesson, themed science day camp, or used over several months for after-school club meetings. I encourage you to include a lesson or two into your programming.

Also, if there is a specific topic area or question you have related to science let us know. The Georgia 4-H team is lucky to have Kasey Bozeman on staff whose focus is Science and Environmental Education Programs. If the 4-H Military Partnership team is not aware of a specific resource related to your interested science topic chances are Kasey will have a solution.

Also, another great FREE science curriculum is Inquiring Minds Want to Know by MSU. The curriculum is perfect for younger youth like Cloverbuds, but the individual lessons include some adaptions for older teens in middle and high. The primary goal of the curriculum is to open up the door to the world of science and to engage youth in hands-on learning related to science topics. MSU also has some other resources that could be helpful right now during COVID-19 as well as for future face-to-face programming.
