Do you find yourself in need of update military and family research? When designing a program do you consider how the design will be beneficial for military families, couples, parents, and children? Auburn University Military REACH has released its Feb. 2020 TRIP reports and newsletter. Military Reach works to conduct research and put that research into appcliable reports, so that people are able to understand and put the research to use. There are 12 different researched-based reports that answer the previous questions plus countless other topics! I have not made it through all the reports, but after reading the report on The Creation of Military Family Leisure Experiences I knew I had to share this REACH newsletter with you all.
Also, the article highlights Benjamin Burke, MS, who wrote a report for the Department of Defense on a phenomenon called Posttraumatic Growth. The newsletter article is an insightful short read about defining trauma; however, his full report is provided in a sperate document. Key links are provided at the end of the blog post inlcuding his full findings.
I encourage you to take a moment from your busy schedule, from running from club meeting to club meeting, and even from checking your 100th email. As Extension professionals, Air Force employees, and military members it is vital for us to stay current on update research. We understand the world is changing around us, but do we take a moment to understand those changes and how to adapt with those changes?
I encourage you to choose two reports from the link below to expand your understanding. Also, if you have time check out the full report on Posttraumatic Growth for Enhancing the Well-being of Military Service Members and their Families.
