On April 22, 2020, we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day – how exciting! Many schools, organizations, and communities host festivals and other events; consider getting your local 4-H program involved in the fun! The 2020 Earth Day theme is climate action, many valuable resources are posted on the Earth Day website: https://www.earthday.org/.
Project WET, Project WILD, and the National Wildlife Federation are teaming up to offer a free, online self-paced professional development opportunity about climate topics. Topics will include weather and climate, phenology, extreme weather, biodiversity, soils, and oceans. While the resources are free, you must register to receive the information: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeA3MieerQIq7RYyNEVAJOAbwFxHkcpT1FTt3k7QCd-_RS6_w/viewform. I’m very excited and already registered!
