The University of Minnesota REACH Lab, a center at the University of Minnesota focused on developing services and products directed to supporting the well-being and positive outcomes of children and youth, is happy to announce a set of online modules supporting Positive Youth Development and Emotion Regulation.

This curriculum includes research, background, and workshops on topics related to Emotion Regulation and Positive Youth Development Training and is intended to be used by youth program managers or training staff to introduce the concepts to program staff.

Workshops are short, practical, and designed to be delivered during regular staff meetings or professional development days. The curriculum is a set of strategies intended to help staff understand the importance of helping youth learn to manage their emotions.

A companion research paper is also available and outlines the research around this topic.

The Emotion Regulation modules are part of a larger Positive Youth Development Certificate aimed to support foundational knowledge within the youth development field. Learn more about REACH at: https://reachfamilies.umn.edu/
