Vegetable Gardening Lunch and Learn

Fresh vegetables harvested out of your garden are tasty and healthy. Many types of vegetables can be grown in our area, and proper planting and culture will ensure a bountiful harvest.  UGA Extension Horticulturist Bob Westerfield will share about vegetable gardening on April 11, 2023, 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the UGA Extension Henry County office located at 97 Lake Dow Road, McDonough, GA 30252, Conference Room A. Georgia First Detector Training  

Become one of Georgia’s First Detectors and help fight the spread of invasive species in our beautiful state. There will have professional speakers from the University of Georgia, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Georgia Forestry Commission, and others. These speakers will discuss topics related to the identification, management, reporting and tracking of invasive insects, plants and diseases as well as other programs in place to combat the spread of invasive species in Georgia. The program will be held on April 28, 9:00am to 4:45pm at the UGA Extension Henry County Office located at 97 Lake Dow Road, McDonough, GA 30252. There is no charge but registration is required. Please register early since there is limited space. Current, active Master Gardeners receive Advanced Training credit for attending this training.
