Communication Training Series (2020 RLC Archives)

The three Regional Leadership Conferences (read all about them in this previous blog post) from last year are available for viewing in our online training classroom. Registration is required in order to receive site access. This three-part series includes Communicate to Connect, Communicate to Cultivate, and Communicate for Community. Participants will receive Advanced Training credit (Required category) when all three parts are completed. Individuals who completed any or all of the 2020 live sessions are also welcome to register and review the material, but duplicate credit will not be given for sessions already completed. This training is 100% online and course materials can be completed at a time of personal convenience within the course timeframe (March 8 – April 19, 2021).

Georgia First Detectors Program

First offered in Fall 2020 (learn all about the training in this previous blog post), this popular training will be offered twice in 2021, in spring (February 20 – April 10, 2021) and in fall (October 2 – November 30, 2021). The First Detector training focuses on the identification and reporting of invasive species. This training is 100% online and course materials can be completed at a time of personal convenience each week. New materials will be released weekly on Saturday mornings. Any questions about the material are sent to instructors by Thursday of each week, and answers are posted the following Thursday. Activities are due on Fridays. To earn an Advanced Training certificate, individuals need to complete the coursework in the 6-week time frame of the course, including 6 questionnaires and 6 quizzes. This year, a live Q&A session with instructors will be offered in the last week.
